WEAPONS AND ARMOR:
You start with a single 1 MW shield and no weapons.  You can have 2 shields, 2 lasers, and 10 missiles.  You've got a while before the Xenons get real dangerous, but don't wait too long.
The bigger, tougher, more advanced weapons aren't available in many places - don't worry about it, by the time you can afford them you'll have found out where they are.  (See Appendix)
